Export Claude Slides to PowerPoint or Google Slides
Download a deck for PowerPoint, send it to Google Slides, or present from a PDF. Check the parts your recipient needs to change.
To move Claude Slides to PowerPoint, open the deck and download a PowerPoint file. Choose Google Slides for an editable online copy, or PDF when you just need to present. Check fonts, layout, and charts before handing it over.
Download the deck as a PowerPoint file
As of November 2026, Claude Slides is available on Free, Pro, Max, Ultra, Team, and Enterprise. On Team and Enterprise, owners can control its availability through Organization settings → Artifacts.
Use the Slides download controls:
- Open the finished deck in Claude.
- Select Download.
- Choose PowerPoint, current fonts or PowerPoint, basic fonts.
- Open the downloaded
.pptxin PowerPoint.
Keep the first export as a reference, then edit a working copy such as launch-review-working.pptx.
These steps apply to a Slides deck. Other Claude artifact types have their own saving controls. If you already have a downloadable PowerPoint file in the chat, open that file directly.
Check what stays editable
In the PowerPoint export, you can revise slide text and tables, replace pictures, change backgrounds, and edit speaker notes. Exported charts, icons, and shapes are images. Skipped slides are omitted.
For a chart that must change next month, create a PowerPoint chart from the source data and replace the exported picture. Native charts expose Chart Design → Edit Data, as described in Microsoft’s chart-editing guide.
Review the layout for text crossing a chart, captions below the slide edge, and titles wrapping onto extra lines. Select the text and pictures you expect to rearrange.
Inspect logos, crops, and small labels at presentation size. Keep the original image files nearby if the recipient will need to replace a photo.
Choose fonts for another computer
The basic fonts download substitutes common fonts. Choose current fonts when the presentation needs its existing typefaces, then prepare those fonts for the receiving computer.
PowerPoint supports embedding eligible fonts in the file. On Windows:
- Open File → Options → Save.
- Turn on Embed fonts in the file.
- Select Embed all characters if someone else will edit the deck.
- Confirm with OK.
- Save the presentation.
Embedding only the characters already used can restrict later editing. Some fonts don’t permit embedding, so replace an unsuitable font with one the recipient has. Microsoft’s guide also covers supported PowerPoint versions on Mac.
Open the saved file on the presentation computer. Read the longest heading and smallest footnote, then inspect symbols, bold text, and line breaks. Allow time to adjust spacing after any font changes.
Send a copy to Google Slides
First, connect Google Drive through Customize → Connectors. On Team and Enterprise, an owner must enable the connector for the organization.
With Drive connected, use Claude’s Google Slides export:
- Open Share in the deck.
- Choose Export.
- Select Google Slides under Send to.
- Open the resulting editable copy in Google Drive.
Check that the copy is in the intended Google account before inviting collaborators. Try changing one heading and selecting a chart, then inspect the slide order and image placement. Don’t assume every visual has editable underlying data because the presentation itself is editable.
Name the working location in your handoff message so reviewers use the same copy.
Present from a PDF when edits are finished
Choose Download → PDF when the audience only needs to view the slides. Carry it alongside the PowerPoint file as a backup.
In Adobe Acrobat’s full-screen view:
- Open the exported PDF.
- Choose View → Full Screen Mode. On Windows, open the main menu first.
- Press Right Arrow to advance or Left Arrow to go back.
Check that the first page, last page, and every chart are present and readable. On a projector or shared screen, confirm that the audience sees the slides and that your controls advance the correct window. Keep any speaking script separately within reach.
Example: hand over a launch review
Suppose you’ve made an eight-slide launch review with a product photo, a milestone table, and a chart comparing support requests across three weeks. The presenter needs to change the launch date, while the operations team will update the chart each month.
Download the PPTX and change the date in the table. For the recurring chart, rebuild it with the original weekly figures using PowerPoint’s chart tools. Compare the values, category labels, and units with the source sheet before replacing the picture.
Ask the presenter to open the working file on the meeting laptop and inspect the product photo and longest title at presentation size.
After approval, keep a PDF beside the PPTX with the same version name. Put the chart’s source sheet with the files and note who will update it. If the team chooses Google Slides for revisions, send them that working location and label the downloaded files as the approved copies.
Keep the conversation beside the deck
The slides may omit the discussion that led to them. Keep the chat when you need a record of requested changes, rejected wording, or corrections to the source figures.
DocMyChat saves that conversation from claude.ai in desktop Chrome. A deck published as an artifact appears in the transcript as a titled link where it was created, without its contents. The slide HTML and JSON written solely to build that published deck are omitted from the appendix and ZIP. DocMyChat does not export PPTX.
Use Claude’s native controls for the presentation and save the chat as a separate PDF when you need both. Pair names such as launch-review.pptx and launch-review-conversation.pdf to make the relationship clear.
If the handoff includes a written brief made as a Claude Doc, use its own document export too.
Questions
Can I edit the exported deck in Keynote?
Yes. Keynote opens PowerPoint PPTX files. On a Mac, choose File → Open in Keynote and select the file. Review any missing-font or appearance warnings before editing.
Will slide transitions survive the PowerPoint export?
No. Claude’s PowerPoint download leaves out slide transitions. Add required transitions in PowerPoint and rehearse before presenting.
Can I export just one slide?
For a picture, use Download → Current slide as an image (.png). For an editable slide, download the deck, then copy the slide into a new PowerPoint presentation with Keep Source Formatting. Delete the new presentation’s empty slide and save.
