In short: DocMyChat turns the Claude chat you choose into a file inside your browser. Your chats are never sent to us or anyone else. We have no server that receives them, no analytics and no ads. The only outside service is ExtensionPay, and only if you choose to pay for Pro.
This policy covers the DocMyChat for Claude browser extension (“the extension”) and this website. “We” means the developer of DocMyChat. Questions go to support@docmychat.com.
What the extension reads
When you open the DocMyChat menu or popup on claude.ai, the extension reads that one chat: its messages, Claude’s replies and reasoning, artifacts, and the images and files that appear in it. It reads them from claude.ai with the session you are already signed in with, through the same requests the claude.ai page makes itself. It does not read your other chats, your account settings or any other website.
The chat is turned into PDF, Word, Markdown or clipboard content on your computer. PDF uses Chrome’s own print dialog. Word, Markdown and ZIP files are saved through your browser’s normal downloads. “Copy for Google Docs” writes to your clipboard only when you click it.

Removing the extension deletes all of this from your browser.
What leaves your device
- Requests to claude.ai. These go only to claude.ai, under your own account — the same requests the site makes when you open a chat.
- Payments, only if you choose Pro. Payments are handled by ExtensionPay, with cards processed by Stripe. Nothing is sent to ExtensionPay until you click “Get Pro” or “I already paid”. At that moment the extension creates an anonymous key at ExtensionPay. You enter your email and payment details on ExtensionPay’s page, not in the extension. Afterwards the extension asks ExtensionPay whether that key has paid, when the browser starts and about every 12 hours. We never see your card details.
Nothing else is sent anywhere. The extension has no analytics, crash reporting, advertising or tracking. All of its code, including the diagram renderer, ships inside the extension; it does not load code from the internet.
Permissions
- Access to claude.ai: to add the Export buttons and read the chat you export.
- storage: to keep the settings listed above.
- scripting: to add the Export buttons to claude.ai tabs that were already open when you installed or updated the extension.
- extensionpay.com pages: ExtensionPay’s script notices when a payment is complete, so Pro turns on without a restart.
Sharing and sale
We do not sell, rent or share your data, and we do not use it for advertising, credit decisions or any purpose other than creating the documents you ask for. DocMyChat’s use of data follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
This website
docmychat.com is a static site. It sets no cookies and has no analytics, ads or third-party scripts; its font is served from this domain. The free tools on this site convert the text you paste inside your browser tab — it is never uploaded. Like any website, the hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, for security and reliability.
Children
DocMyChat is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Your choices
You can stop using DocMyChat at any time by removing it from Chrome, which erases its stored data. If you paid for Pro and want your payment record deleted, write to us or to ExtensionPay. We answer every request.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top before the new version of the extension ships.
