AI Exporter alternatives for Claude work
Keep AI Exporter for work across several assistants. Compare three Claude-focused alternatives when you need editable equations, source files, or selected replies.
Choose a Claude-focused AI Exporter alternative for editable Word equations, source files, or selected replies. DocMyChat handles equations, the latest artifact files, and the displayed branch. Keep AI Exporter if one routine across Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and other assistants matters most.
| Option | Scope | Formats or destinations | Reason to consider it |
|---|---|---|---|
| AI Exporter | Several AI services | PDF, Word, Markdown, TXT, JSON, image, Notion | One routine across different assistants |

| AI Chat Exporter | Claude (other assistants have separate extensions) | PDF, Markdown, TXT, JSON, CSV, image | Selected turns, structured data, and Project files |
| Thinksolv’s Claude exporter | Claude | PDF, Word, Google Docs | Whole chats, selected messages, or answers only |
Keep AI Exporter when your work crosses several services
AI Exporter’s website names Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, DeepSeek, Grok, Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot, Perplexity, NotebookLM, and Kimi among supported services. Headline totals differ between the site and listing, so check for the services you use.
Its Chrome listing advertises message selection and combining conversations from different models. It offers Word, PDF, Markdown, JSON, TXT, images, and Notion delivery. You can save a Claude draft alongside research from another assistant.
The pricing page lists free Markdown, JSON, and TXT. Daily allowances are three PDFs, eight Word exports, and eight Notion exports. Pro costs $5.88 per month or $46.56 per year. The annual plan’s $3.88 monthly figure is an equivalent, not a month-to-month price.
The website says PDF uses temporary server processing and most other features run locally. Ask where Word conversion runs, and check the account requirements for each format you use.
Choose AI Exporter if one export routine across several assistants saves you work.
Check equations, source files, and branches
For technical work, check three things before switching.
First, edit an exported formula in Word. AI Exporter advertises formula preservation and Word output but doesn’t specify native Office Math. Make sure you can change a coefficient or exponent, not just move a picture.
Second, check the files. The listing offers an optional image ZIP alongside Markdown. For generated code, request a sample with each source file’s latest version and open it in your editor. A transcript or image bundle does not replace those files.
Third, export a chat after editing or retrying an answer. Leave your chosen branch on screen and compare it with the file. If it differs, try a tool that keeps the intended branch.
Choose by the result. A tool that supports more sites may produce exactly the Claude document you need.
Choose DocMyChat for a Claude document you can finish
DocMyChat saves one open chat or reply. Word formulas become native Office Math, PDF formulas are typeset, and Markdown keeps LaTeX. Use the Word export to revise a calculation.
Artifacts go into a PDF, Word, or Markdown appendix with version counts. The flat ZIP holds the newest version of each artifact or generated file. Three revisions of analysis.py give you one file, with no earlier drafts.
A titled link marks where each Claude Doc or deck published as an artifact was created. The export does not include that artifact’s content. Save it through Claude’s own Export. The appendix and ZIP omit slide HTML and JSON written only to build a published deck.
The export follows the branch displayed after an edit or retry. Select the one you want first.
Documents are built in your browser, with no separate account or conversion server receiving the chat. Installation is free. Markdown, Copy, and artifact downloads are always free. Check the product page for current PDF and Word terms.
It does not cover other AI sites, connect directly to destination apps, sync automatically, or export chats in bulk. There is no JSON, CSV, or TXT output. Copy leaves formulas as LaTeX text in Google Docs, and PDF uses Chrome’s print dialog. The Markdown guide explains image links, which require your Claude sign-in.
Choose it if you need editable Word equations or source files alongside the conversation.
Choose AI Chat Exporter for selected data and Project files
AI Chat Exporter advertises PDF, Markdown, TXT, JSON, CSV, and image output, with detailed message selection. Word is not among its advertised formats. Its website names Chrome and Edge as officially supported browsers.
The exact listing describes downloading a Claude Project’s files and documents as a ZIP or combining them into Markdown or text. Project files differ from artifacts generated in one conversation. The listing also promises embedded Markdown images.
The publisher’s exporters for other assistants are separate products. This Claude extension cannot replace AI Exporter’s multi-site routine by itself.
According to the listing, non-PDF formats run locally without an account. PDF requires sign-in and uses the publisher’s server. Its pricing page lists three free PDFs daily. Paid plans, billed yearly, cost the equivalent of $1.98 per month for 30 PDFs daily or $2.98 per month for 100 PDFs daily.
Choose it if you need selected turns, structured formats, or Project files, and its PDF processing fits your requirements.
Choose Thinksolv for selected replies in a document
Thinksolv’s Claude to PDF, Word and Google Docs advertises exporting one reply, selected messages, answers only, or the complete conversation. Its listing also promises artifact support and preservation of math, tables, code, and images.
Try a document with several replies. Edit an equation, check the table, and compare messages with your chosen branch. For source files, ask whether it supplies a ZIP with their latest versions. Check the price, account requirements, and conversion location too.
Choose it if you want to collect several Claude replies into a shorter document or send them to Google Docs.
Change the part of the workflow that needs changing
Imagine research notes from two assistants, a Claude calculation, and a generated script. Your Markdown routine may suit the notes. The calculation needs an editable equation, while the script needs to stay a file.
Compare outputs in the apps where you will use them. Edit the equation, then open the script and check its name and contents. For a retried answer, check the file against your chosen branch.
You may need another tool for just one deliverable. The Claude exporter shortlist covers more combinations.
How we compared
We compared publishers’ product pages, exact Chrome listings, and pricing pages. We did not install the competing extensions, time conversions, or compare downloaded files.
We publish DocMyChat and use its maintained product facts. Competitor features are attributed to their sites and listings.
Questions
Is AI Exporter the same tool as AI Chat Exporter?
No. According to saveai.net, AI Exporter works across several AI services. AI Chat Exporter’s site at ai-chat-exporter.net describes a Claude-specific tool and says its publisher offers separate extensions for other assistants.
Can DocMyChat import an AI Exporter file?
No. Open the original conversation on claude.ai to export it. Keep your existing downloads too, since the extension does not import files from another exporter.
Is AI Exporter available outside Chrome?
Its website links to Chrome, Edge, and Firefox versions. Check that the version for your browser offers the formats and features you need before moving your workflow.
How should I compare a wide table in two exports?
Export the same conversation and messages, then open both files side by side. Check every column, the longest cell, and any rows that continue onto later pages.
